Introduction

Paris Diderot University and Stimuli association joined together to lead the research project Sarabandes and to organise the international conference « Telling Science, drawing Science – Science en récit, Science en image », November 24th & 25th 2016, at the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l’image in Angoulême (France).

The objective of this conference is to promote and share experiences and/or researches in which the practice of writing and drawing Science is involved, in the field of education, popularization and communication of Science, or in more open fields.

This conference will bring together the researchers but also the professionnals (teachers, science communicators, drawers, writers) involved in the knowledge transmission in natural science, physics or mathematics.

Scientific organization

We propose different forms of exchanges:

  • plenary session
  • workshops:short communications grouped together by theme (or not)
  • round table conferences with researchers and comics authors or conferences of drawers for the public
  • stands for poster communications

Calls for proposals

The proposals concern only the workshops and the posters. The guidelines for the submissions are available on the web page: Instructions for authors.

Each proposal will be examined anonymously by 2 members of the scientific committee. The scientific committee decides which proposals will be accepted and any potential modifications. A brochure including all the retained proposals will be given to the participants at the start of the conference.
